History
of the Organization

The New Filipino Private School is one of the very first Filipino schools in the United Arab Emirates to be given the license to operate using the Filipino Curriculum by the Ministry of Education, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates in September 1996 and by the Department of Education, Manila, Philippines on 15 October 1996. It was founded by Ms. Aghsan Musa and family. Its first year of operation was successfully launched on 14 September 1996. It was initially manned by twenty-one (21) well-experienced and highly qualified teachers meticulously screened from various schools in Manila both private and public.

The school is currently located in Dasman, Sharjah – making it accessible to all Filipino communities especially those who reside in Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah. On September 12,2022, NFPS was acquired by new owners Mr. Ahmed Alansaari together with Mrs. Maria Teresa Sales Alansaari. NFPS continues to be one of the strongest Filipino schools in the UAE.

The NFPS SEAL

The circular form of The NFPS Logo signifies its well-rounded approach towards the formation of its learners.

The small inner circle has three (3) important components:

Laurel Leaves, which represent excellence,
Book, which symbolizes knowledge, and
Torch, which signifies guidance.

The Philippine Flag represents our love and loyalty to our country.

The two (2) stars in the outer rings symbolize the school’s commitment in helping its students realize and, ultimately, reach their aspirations and dreams.

Green in the Logo, which is also the school color, represents hope and harmony amongst all stakeholders.

The Logo’s elongated shape signifies uniqueness and flexibility – characteristics the school aims to promote to all its students.

School Philosophy

The New Filipino Private School believes in the holistic development of its learners. It stands by its commitment to provide quality education through active involvement in the teaching-learning process, provision of opportunities to strengthen their potentials, and creation of programs to match their developmental level and learning styles.
The balanced learning experience infused with inculcated positive values and principles shall prepare them for real-life challenges. Varied, interactive and multi-sensory activities contribute to the enhancement of their intelligence and total well-being.
The NFPS serves as a catalyst for a harmonious relationship among the members of the Filipino community. It maintains the preservation of our nation’s identity and promotes awareness and respect for the host country’s customs and traditions.

Vision

The New Filipino Private School envisions its learners to be individuals imbued with desirable values, functionally literate, at par with global standards, and confident to face the challenges of life ahead.

Mission

The New Filipino Private School has the mission to provide affordable, relevant, and quality education to the children of the Filipino community. Its curriculum includes the values integration in the cognitive and content domains. The character formation of its learners is given equal provisions with the development of their academic skills.

Leadership

The NFPS believes that education does not only mean equipping students with academic competence, but it also means keeping them physically fit and religiously responsive. This means give them well-planned, well-balanced activities that would lead to their becoming well-informed, well-adjusted individuals. The New Filipino Private School is a haven for those who seek an education that is truly well-rounded and truly Filipino.

The school believes that one of its mandates is to prepare every student to become a responsible member of society. Therefore, it makes sure that it provides its learners the venue to develop their leadership skills and acquire the attitudes of a responsible individual.

The school has a Supreme Student Government Council. Every school year, students vote for the new Student Council Officers.

Aside from the SCO, we also have the class and club officers to make sure that more opportunities for leadership are given to students.

Alumni

The NFPS takes pride in being known as one of the Filipino schools in the UAE producing graduates who excel in their chosen fields of endeavors in the most prestigious colleges and universities back home – University of Santo Tomas, University of the Philippines, De La Salle University – just to name a few. Moreover, some of its graduates pursue further studies to explore wider horizon in various universities in the UAE and in other countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and others. Our graduates, who are now professionals, earned their degrees with highest honors in these universities.

To show our care for our alumni, we send out an Alumni Tracking Form every year to know their whereabouts and be proud of what they are achieving and have accomplished.
